Chatty plans to have so much fun in 2009!

Once the front bedroom is totally DUN, she and her cousins will come out to play! Everyone can hardly wait!!!

An explanation

Yes, Chatty Cathy and her cousins (Nellie and Mia) are still here... But, due to the construction (off/on sawing of wood and sheetrock), I thought it best to cover them up, protecting them from the elements.

They are really itching, however, to come out and play and get new clothes! When the front bedroom gets finished with the remodeling, I will be able to bring them out again. Soon, it will be too cold to do anything on the house (and hopefully the bedroom will be finished!), and I can start creating new outfits once again! My mind is already designing those special dresses they will love!

Finally got on Etsy!

I finally listed a couple of items for sale on etsy! Nellie's Easter Dress and the pink hat and poncho Mia likes... both look great on Chatty, too!

Nellie is ready for Easter!

Nellie has a new Easter dress! Her handmade crocheted bag stuffed with yellow grass works perfectly for an Easter basket! She'll be able to wear this dress often during spring and summer! She likes the tulle tie belt... it has a big bow in the back! And a hint of the tulle in her hair adds a simple touch. Her new white shoes completes the outfit!

In a little while, we'll have to see if this outfit looks as cute on Chatty! Oh Goodness! The Dress Does Look Just As Cute On Chatty!!!

Ready for a Party!

Chatty is thrilled her clothes fit Mia and Nellie! They are all so pretty and ready for that special Valentine party!

When Mia and Nellie arrived, they only had the clothes on their backs. Much to everyone's pleasant surprise... Chatty's clothes fit her cousins perfectly! What a wonderful way to spread love on this Valentine's Day - by sharing clothes! Yipppeeee!!!

They are here!

Because of Auntie Linda's generous gift, Chatty's cousins arrived today! Mia and Nellie are very excited to be in their new home! And, Chatty is happy they came to live with her!

Beauty Shop

Auntie Linda found the perfect curlers for Chatty Cathy! They are much better than the "perm" type curlers. Momma then played Beauty Shop while watching the Super Bowl game!


The results: a little more bounce to 49 year young hair!

Ready to watch a parade!

Chatty is ready to go watch a St. Patrick's Day parade!

She won't get pinched wearing this green and white dress made of poly/cotton! Accents of lace and rick-rack add the touches Granny will like! And, her white diamond tights and ankle strap shoes completes her outfit.

Valentine's Day

Chatty's Valentine's Day Dress is made out of rayon fabric. The heart embroidery ribbon is from Granny's stash and makes it extra special! Delicate lace trims the sleeve hem and a larger band of lace tops the A-line skirt.

New Shoes!

Chatty's shoes and boots arrived yesterday! Between the recent order from Audrey's Doll Gallery (http://www.audreysdolls.com/) and a previous order from Prilly Charmin (http://www.prillycharmin.com/armin.com/) she is set to go anywhere!

She now has brown lace-up boots and white tennis shoes. Her wardrobe also includes different style Mary Jane's in red, white, royal blue, pink, and black.

Chatty also received yesterday a pair of white tights and a set of black stockings! Auntie Linda thought she is too young to wear black stockings, so she called Granny. Granny said it would be okay with the appropriate dress.

After reviewing the picture, houseshoes and sandals are the only items missing! Unless, of course, you want to consider other colors of dress shoes! Both websites have wonderful selections, it's so hard to choose! In addition, both orders arrived promptly. I highly recommend both companies!

FYI: Chatty wears a size 85mm-86mm shoe. Her socks are a size 3. And her stockings and tights are a size 4.

Waiting on orders!

On January 7th, I ordered two patterns from the McCalls/Butterick company through their online store (Wal-Mart doesn't carry Butterick). They charged the fee to my credit card the same day.... but didn't ship out until the 14th. As of yesterday, I still have not received them!!! I've complained, to no avail!!!

On the other hand, I've ordered more shoes (white, pink, and boots) for Chatty through Audreys Dolls on the 20th, and they shipped out on the 25th. I expect them Monday or Tuesday!!!

Observations

While looking at outfits for sale, either on Ebay or in the various Yahoo!Groups, people indicate the items are created in "Smoke Free and Pet Free Homes". I understand this is in consideration for those with allergies...

So, if I ever get to the point to sell Chatty's outfits, I'll indicate "Pet Friendly" and "Smoke Free" ... as I'm so glad we don't smoke in the house anymore, it does really really stink up the place! BUT, we wouldn't know what to do without our girls near us every minute! They so enjoy checking out Chatty every now and then, especially Beth!
