This site will showcase my creations for Chatty Cathy. She has lived with me since Christmas 1959.
In December 2007, I dusted off the machine and began sewing again after the passing of several decades. It is a pleasure to make her outfits - she never complains during the fittings, she doesn't grumble when the lace trim scratches, and she doesn’t fret when outfits aren’t totally trimmed out like they could be, or how Granny made them years ago.
UPDATE!
In February 2008, my loving sister gave me two American Girl Dolls, Mia and Nellie! Now Chatty shares her clothes with her "cousins" and, so far, they are getting along nicely!
The circle skirt is made from a linen look fabric in soft pink. Her white bodice is out of rayon. Both have the delicate trim applied that Auntie Linda gave us!
The matching bolero jacket has rose button accent at the neck. Ribbon bow trims her hair.
Her complete Easter Suit, with her new pink shoes!
